The person being interviewed is H. B. Thomas. His title/position is farmer. H.B. Thomas's race is unknown due to the fact that his ancestry is unknown. His gender is male, and his age at the time of the interview was 82 years old. The interview took place at 1100 North 27th. in Nebraska. The date of the interview is Tuesday October 18, 1938 between the hours of 1 and 3 o'clock. The person interviewing H.B. Thomas is George Hartman. The person being interviewed is George Dodge. He occupation was being a mason and a carpenter. George Dodge was a Yankee and he was a male. His age was unknown. The interview took place in Massacusetts in the Living Lore Pub. The date of the interview was January 24, 1939. The interviewer is Rosalie Smith. Another person that was interviewed during the Depression was Sherman Dolman. Sherman was a painter and a blacksmith. Sherman was a German man. Sherman was interviewed at 3050 W St. by George Hartman and on the day that he was interviewed he was 65 years old.

These three people hold much in common. They were all living during the Great Depression and suffered from the racial consequences of segregation, the seperation of coloreds/negroes and whites. Most of these people also held more than one occupatipon, however this wasn't uncommon because many jobs had low wages and more money was needed to feed the families of the Depression. And the wages of their jobs would only continue to drop due to the depressing economy. These people were also very old, and it was common for them to continue working at this age becuase their didn't have enough money when they reached the retirement age.
